1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Barto app, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these terms, please refrain from using the platform. Barto reserves the right to modify the Terms of Service at any time, with notice to users. Continuing to use the platform after changes implies acceptance of the new terms.
2. Description of Service
Barto is a platform that facilitates the bartering and exchange of used items between private users. Through Barto, users can post items available for exchange or gifting and interact via private chat to arrange the exchange.
3. Registration and Account Security
To use Barto, registration is required. Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information. Each user is responsible for the security of their account and agrees not to transfer their account to others or use others' accounts without authorization.
4. Prohibited Items
It is forbidden to post or propose exchanges of:
- Illegal items: including, but not limited to, drugs, firearms, ammunition, explosives, prescription medicines, counterfeit goods, dangerous products, and any other items prohibited by law.
- Pornographic or sexual material: including sexually explicit items, pornography, and items that promote violence or abuse.
- Other items prohibited by Barto: offensive, dangerous, or otherwise non-compliant items with the community’s values and rules.
Barto reserves the right to remove any content or item deemed non-compliant with these guidelines or that may violate the law or these Terms of Service.
5. User Responsibilities
- Accurate data: Users must provide accurate and complete descriptions of posted items.
- Appropriate behavior: Users must treat other community members with respect and professionalism.
- Meetings and Exchanges: Users are responsible for the organization and safety of exchanges. Barto assumes no responsibility for meetings and exchanges arranged through the platform. Users are advised to take all necessary precautions for their safety.
6. Limitation of Liability
- User-generated content: Barto is not responsible for content posted by users, including item descriptions and chat communications.
- Chat use: Barto provides a chat feature to facilitate exchanges but assumes no responsibility for content or interactions within the chat. Users are responsible for their own behavior and communications sent or received.
- Exchanges and meetings: Barto is not responsible for damages, losses, or disputes arising from meetings or exchanges organized through the platform. All transactions and meetings occur at users' own risk and responsibility.
7. Rights of Barto
Barto reserves the right to:
- Modify or suspend the service: Barto may change platform features or temporarily suspend access without notice.
- Remove content or suspend accounts: If a user violates the Terms of Service or community guidelines, Barto reserves the right to remove inappropriate content or suspend the account temporarily or permanently.
